This is what a multiple array Explosive Formed Projectile (EFP) looks like to Coalition Troops while traveling the routes throughout Central South and the South Region. The insurgency has integrated these weapons even in Baghdad taking various forms of deception in and around roadways, adding to the difficulty of visually identifying these counter-patrol systems. Note, in the upper left corner of this foamed block is an Infrared (IR) eyelet that detects movement across its line-of-sight and will detonate once activated.
